An event such as BBC Proms in the Park requires a stunning conclusion, and Reaction Fireworks provided exactly that on Saturday 8th September in Centre Square, Middlesbrough.
The display was designed to meet the space restrictions that the site presented. Its Town Centre location meant that aerial shells had to be eliminated, and the close proximity of the prestigious new Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima), meant that special low debris materials also needed to be used. Over 5,000 top quality fireworks made up this world class three minute performance, which was aired throughout the BBC’s closing credits of the popular BBC Last Night of the Proms programme.
The display exceeded expectations for the 5,000 strong audience, said Middlesbrough City Council’s Event Manager Judith Croft “The fireworks were incredible. Absolutely breathtaking. We have received numerous comments about the display from people who attended the event. They were the perfect conclusion to what was a magical evening.”
Reaction Fireworks also provided the Musical Firework Spectacular at the Official Opening of Mima (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art) on Saturday 27th January 2007.
